I realized New York City was a special place during
my cab ride home from the
airport. The city lights went on for what seemed like miles, and the
anticipation of being alone in such a big place excited me. Almost exactly
twelve hours from that cab ride, I was walking down a bustling New York street
to begin my photo shoot with Fadil Berisha, a photographer I met while
competing for the title of Miss USA last year. Fadil, an entertaining and
amazing artist, soon welcomed me into his New York studio which, on that
Saturday, was about 50 degrees! Regardless of the temperature, the next five
hours were full of laughter, jokes, and, of course, lots of pictures. The rest
of my days in New York were fantastic, but that photo shoot was the highlight
of my experience. The next adventure on my calendar leads me to Chicago to meet
with agents about a modeling contract. I’ll keep you posted!
