Jessica Fjerstad

Jessica L. Fjerstad is a native of Madison, South Dakota. When she was just 11 years old, Jessica was invited to compete in a PreTeen Scholarship and Recognition Program. At that time, she realized that she loved not only the competition, but the stage as well. From that moment on, the stage has lead her down many different avenues.

The very next year, at the age of 12, Jessica won the South Dakota PreTeen competition along with an accompaning scholarship. A few years down the road, she began her journey into the Miss USA pageant system competing twice in the Miss South Dakota Teen USA pageant. In her first year in the competition she was named First Runner-Up and then the following year she was crowned Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2002. A couple years later Jessica returned to the Miss USA pageant system to compete for Miss South Dakota, and later that year she was crowned Miss South Dakota USA 2005 on her first attempt. In the midst of her pageantry endeavors, Jessica auditioned and became a semi-finalist to appear on America’s Next Top Model television reality show.

Currently, Jessica is attending a South Dakota university and will graduate in the Spring of 2007 with a political science degree. She will then follow her dream of becoming a criminal attorney by attending law school.
